บริษัท Emotiy Systems ได้พัฒนาเทคโนโลยีระบบควบคุมมการทำงานของเกมส์โดยเชื่อมต่อกับระบบประสาทของมนุษย์ เพื่อให้ผู้เล่นเกมส์สามารถควบคุมความเคลื่อนไหว และสิ่งแวดล้อมต่างๆในเกมส์ได้โดยใช้เพียงความคิดเท่านั้น
โดยเจ้าโปรเจคนี้ มีชื่อว่าระบบ EPOC เจ้าซุปเปอร์คอมพิวเตอร์นี้มีความสามารถในการทำให้เกมเมอร์สามารถควบคุม การเคลื่อนที่วัตถุต่างๆภายในเกมส์ โดยเพียงแค่ใช้ความรู้สึกนึกคิดเท่านั้น “ความรู้สึกสนุก และตื่นเต้นในการเล่นเกมส์ด้วยระบบดังกล่าว ถูกแสดงออกมาทางสีหน้าท่าทางของพวกเขาอย่างเห็นได้ชัด” คือคำยืนยันจากบริษัทผู้ผลิต โดยบริษัท Emotiy จะนำเทคโนโลยีดังกล่าวออกแสดงใน the Game Developer Conference ที่จะมาถึงนี้ ที่ กรุงซานฟรานซิสโก

Emotiv Systems has developed a neural-processing technology that lets players manipulate game environments with their minds alone. The Project Epoc system can be used to move objects based on a gamer's thoughts, reflect facial expressions and respond to the excitement or calm displayed by the player, said the company. Emotiv displayed the unit at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco.
