If youâre waiting for a taste of iOS 4 for your 3GS youâll have to be a little patient as update is expected to arrive when iTunes 9.2 for Mac OS X and Windows in a while or June 21st, whichever comes first. iTunes 9.2 Beta is available for Mac users to test with the iOS 4 Gold Master build for iPhone Developer Program members. According to reports â the gold build release works on any applicable iPhone or iPod touch whether or not its UDID has been sent to the dev center. A developer who goes known as msft.guy has already updated the PwnageTool to handle the new update. In other words iOS 4 has been jailbroken for the 3GS. The famous iPhone Dev Team has promised a full blown jailbreak / unlocking solution a little later this month if youâre too afraid to try out msft.guyâs option. Nevertheless, itâs good to know that the not-so-law-abiding hackers of the world are on top pf things.
