The story behind this laptop and why I'm selling it for such a great price.

I owned a DV9000 (previous model that I purchased in the U.S. that ended up having a problem and had to send it to America for repair, as the warranty didn't cover getting it repaired here (they also didn't cover my shipping it to America - 4,000 THB via FedEx). Anyway, after jerking me around for ages with me having to call and call and call, they ended up losing my laptop and, after a few dozen more phone calls they agreed to replace it, as they couldn't locate it. Anyway, I still had to pay return shipping and once the new laptop arrived, I ended up paying another 2850 THB for VAT tax!

Unfortunately, seeing that this fiasco took over 6 months, I had no choice but to buy another laptop. So, now I have this beautiful, brand new system sitting here, which is why I'm putting it up for sale. I recall the price of my DV9000 cost 100,000 THB here, as it was new to Thailand, but am sure the pricing is lower now. In any event, I'm sure it runs at least 70,000 THB, so I'm willing to go for 40,000! Feel free to give me a call if you want to come see the system. 0800-729-166

LatpopMag has the following verdict and comments:
The HP Pavilion dv7 is the way to go for shoppers who want speed, lots of features, and a good-looking design. It trounces the Dell Studio 17 in both design and performance. The 16.4-inch Sony VAIO VGN-FW198U/H may be more portable, but it’s $200 more and lacks the dv7’s graphics muscle. If portability isn’t as big an issue, but multimedia is, you’ll be happy with this big-screen machine.
