Codec เพิ่มความสามารถให้กับ WMP ให้สามารถเปิดเล่นไฟล์ที่เข้ารหัสแบบต่างๆ ได้ เช่น Xvid divx MP4 เป็นอีกหนึ่งโปรแกรมที่มีการอัพเดตบ่อยมากๆ (อย่างกะ Antivirus) ที่จะมาแนะนำเพราะเวอร์ชันใหม่นี้มีการเพิ่มความสามารถมาอีกหลายๆ ด้าน เช่น สามารถเปิด/ปิด Subtitle ได้จากตัว MPC เลย (รุ่นก่อนๆ ต้องเปิด/ปิด จาก icon ตรง system tray) และอื่นๆ ตอนนี้มีเวอร์ชันสำหรับ 64 bit ด้วย โหลดได้จากลิงค์ด้านล่างครับ
