Windows 7 ซึ่งเป็นระบบปฏิบัติการเดสก์ท็อปตัวใหม่ของไมโครซอฟต์ ซึ่งเป็นการพัฒนาต่อเนื่องมาจาก Windows Vista (ผมคิดเอาเองว่า Windows 7 คือเวอร์ชัน R2 ของ Windows Vista) จากข้อมูลล่าสุด น่าจะสามารถใช้ยืนยันได้ว่าไมโครซอฟท์มีแผนออก Windows 7 ใน 6 Edition รวมถึง Starter Edition รายละเอียดดังนี้
