SUSPECTED fraudsters are believed to have stolen the identities of scores of people across Devon in a huge scamming operation. Police believe around 50 people have become victims of the con in what detectives have described as "extensive" fraud offences. But they have urged people not to worry and say it is unlikely victims will have suffered any financial loss. Three people have been arrested on suspicion of fraud in connection with the scam, following an investigation by the Retail Fraud Unit. The trio were followed by police from Tiverton on Thursday and later arrested in Taunton. The scam is believed to involve the use of people's identities to purchase goods online.
